This guide assumes you already have access to an sBNC server. You'll need your username, the IP address or the hostname and the port to connect to. If you are not running the bnc yourself you can get these information from your bnc provider.
Here you can set global user information, which is used by default for every network. You can set your information either here or later, in any case the most important setting is “User name”, which has to be your username or ident you want to use to connect to your sBNC.
If your network is not listed here, you can use the “Add” button to create a new one. For this tutorial we'll just assume you want to use QuakeNet.
If you have entered your username on the screen before, it should work now. If not, you can now disable the option “Use global user information” and enter you user information and your username here:
